Why do people generally refer to Yoga and Buddhism as practices that originally came from Asian people?

I know, I know, India is in Asia, but Indian people from India are not Asian people. They are white people who have resided in Asia for a very long time. India is a continent in Asia, so it's safe to say that Buddhism, Saddihartha Gottama, and Yoga originated on a piece of land in Asia called India (since that's where Yoga and Buddhism are from), but not by Asian people, but more rather by white people who have been residing on India, the land, since the beginning of India. It is not safe to say, though, that someone is a certain race when they're not, because they are not the race that's being specified. So, why is it that people keep on referring to Yoga and Buddhism as as a religion and exercise that originated from Asian people, when it actually originated from people living in Asia who are not Asian? Please don't tell me that the reason for all of this is because Indian people are on Asia, because it's too obvious of a reason.

Why do people generally refer to Yoga and Buddhism as practices that originally came from Asian people?
Never have I heard anything so extraordinary! Indians are white people? This singularly racist perspective on things - which sounds like its saying that no major cultural achievement in the world could come from anyone other than white people - is presumably based on a misguided understanding of the story of the so-called Aryan people who settled India and then migrated west to Europe. For your information the Aryans were not the blonde-haired, blue-eyed people of Nazi myth. The Aryan tribes which settled India were the original Indians and they were not white.

The reality is that Indian/Hindu culture was flourishing long before Western, European civilisation was out of the mud. Hinduisim predates Buddhism predates Christianity. We came on the scene much later. White people came on the scene much later.

I think you need to learn a bit more about history. I have no idea who told you Indian culture came from white people but they are wrong, or worse, deluded or liars.

I'm amazed!
Reply:I personally prefer Yoga to Pilates, although many of my friends prefer Pilates. I found this website ( http://bqa.net/ez/bvysdqfqgyvq ) recentlty, that was offering a free years membership for telling them which of the two you prefer. Quite simple really ... enter your zip code and follow some simple instructions.
