Other race people look the same?

People often tells me that Asian people look the same. Is that just because they aren't used to see other race people? So how about Asian people? Asian people think White people or Black people look the same? Black people think White people look the same? or it's just about Asian people look the same?

It's called Race Based Face effect...where those from a particular race are able to identify those from their respective races better than those from outside of their race. Although I personally thing environment affects this too.

Reply:I don't think that any race of people all look the same. I know that the Black race doesn't, I am African and we come in a lot of different shades and have several different ethnic features. Asians are diverse as well, I think people aren't around them enough to see the differences. White people have different hair color, eye color etc.. We all have diversity in our groups, people just love to stereotype because it's easier for them.
Reply:It stems from the fact they are not accustomed to being around a particular group, thus cannot distinguish one from another. Asians can often distinguish other Asians of different of certain ethnicities based on appearance (Ex: Koreans are known for high cheekbones). Africans (those who lived in Africa) can distinguish themselves from other African ethnic groups. People from norther European tend to have fair hair and skin (like Norway) while there are more darker Europeans in the south (like Italy). However due to intermarriage between different groups, it's there is a lot more variations.
Reply:I dunno but yeah its out of not having been exposed. I can tell the difference between most Asian races. I am Shawnee,black and white.. Most people think I am Latin so basically people are stupid. They don't wanna take the time to learn about the Asian cultures.
Reply:Pure white people look the same, the mixed ones have difference. Native Americans, Latinos and Blacks are the most diverse groups.
Reply:a lot of people think asian people look the same. but once you are around them a lot you start to see the differences. i mean how can you confuse a filipino with a chinese person??

Reply:have you thought about doing something out of the ordinary? your other posts are all similar, you seem very concerned about your appearance and obviously dont like what you see. Do you have a photo online somewhere? I will tell you what I think honestly. if not then try highlights. a new dress style. be different. if you want to stand out you will have to . what does your boyfriend think? go to a salon get a scrub and massage and manicure and pedicure, get your hair done just because you may or may not have alot of hair doesnt mean you cant pamper yourself find supportive friends I am available to talk. Reply:I always wondered if Asians had a harder time telling each other apart. But I don't think they do, because my Grandma is Japanese and I've known her my whole life. I could definitely pick her out of a crowd of other Asian people easily.
