Why do people think black people can't have Hazel, Blue, Green, or Gray eyes.?

Why do people feel black people can't have hazel, blue, green, or gray eyes. African Americans and Africans can produce Albinos. When I took African American studies it stated that white people came from Albinos who were kicked out of Africa because they didn't look like them. white people come from albinos it make sense. I don't know if this is true. But thats what I learned. That white people are just simple mutations of black peoples albino babies that were boring. All the albinos I have seen have green, blue, hazel, and gray eyes, with blonde, brown, red, hair. Thats just what I learned in the class. But if black people can produce recessive traits like that , then why do people feel that just because we are dark skin we can't produce green, gray, or blue eyes. I am Medium dark skin and I have Hazel/Green eyes. I am 100 percent African American. I am just tried of people telling me to take off my contacts then when I rub my eyes to show them there not contacts they feel stupid.

Why do people think black people can't have Hazel, Blue, Green, or Gray eyes.?
Skin color, hair texture, and eye color are evolutionary adaptations to latitude, and nothing more. With some travel, we can see people of varied skin hues and hair colors from dark to light with green, blue, hazel, and brown eyes. No one is 100% anything, except human. Certain characteristics become dominant in groups that produce offspring with others that tend to have the same characteristics. As soon as individuals from those groups begin producing offspring with individuals from groups with very different characteristics, we see far wider variations in these characteristics, all of which prove race is nothing more than a temporary pooling of similar genes and changes as the gene pool becomes more varied. Therefore, race isn't real.
Reply:I know I'm late as hell, but I have an issue of our people thinking I'm gay only on the fact that I too have green eyes. Mainly the 1nes that make such assumptions are darker than me. Also, they seem to think that a light skinned African American seem weaker. Report It

Reply:My eyes are hazel. They're just stupid.
Reply:I do believe the eyes thing, because I've seen it often enough. I'm sorry to hear how people tire you.

However, all that other stuff that you learned?! About albinos and all that. All I can say is "what!?". Also, be careful with 100% assertions. 100% is a very specific figure. You have two parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great grand parents, 16 great great grandparents. By the time we reach the 1850's, the little party of ancestors can be way over a hundred people, most of whom lived a long time ago, and for whom we do not have pictures.

That goes for every person alive today.
Reply:where did you get the idea that Caucasian people come from albinos? Albinos can be any race. Being Albino is just a condition where your skin cannot produce melanin. Therefore your eyes have no pigment, your skin have no pigment, and your hair has no pigment. Sometimes, not all the time, Albinos can be blind. Caucasian is a race not a condition like being a Albino. Just like African Americans and all other races Caucasians have pigment in their eyes, skin and hair. That what you heard is not true. People just don't all of a sudden create recessive genes. You have a certain color eye because you inherited this gene from a family member. you just don't all of a sudden have a certain color eye when everyone has brown eyes. someone has to have a gene for this in your family. I could go into further detail in this but I don't have the time. Just remember Caucasians did not come from albinos. If they did, being Caucasian will be a genetic condition not a race.you inherit reccesive genes you dont create them.
Reply:I grew up in an very small town so until I went to college I never even seen an black person. I was under the impression that all black people have black hair, brown eyes, and dark skin. Now I know black people have all different colors of hair (imagine my surprise when I was assigned to share a room with a blond haired black boy) and eye colors.

It's just how the idea is presented to the majority of the people you know - like how when you think of a European woman you usually think of a thin blond.
Reply:Eye colour is controlled by genes, my grandmother who is not mixed has blue eyes. I had a friend who had the most mesmerizing green/brown eyes and she wasn't mixed either. It is just not as common.

I have seen Asian people who have eyes other than the beautiful brown eyes they are known for...

I guess it was God's way of saying that perhaps the world should have some variety!!!
Reply:It's rare but I've seen a few blacks with blue or green eyes. I think it looks cool.
Reply:Because people are ignornat and will continue to be that way........I have an aunt and she is dark with blue eyes.......it's frustrating to always have to keep wondering why people are STUPID............don't frustrate yourself over dummies
Reply:Well in reality 99.99 persent of black people have brwon eyes.I am sure they would exept it if you told them but there are very few black people with green, grey, blue hazel eyes and you are wrong about that study.Yes they may bwe able to have albino's but 1 in every 20,000 or more is albino and how could it be that the white race is actually bigger than the black race when only 1 in every 20,000 was albino.?
Reply:they are part other race
Reply:In America, it's more common because we have a high mixture of other races in the black community.

THAT'S why it's the case here. You can't tell me it's that way across the board, because if you go to the African continent, you rarely see Albinos or light-colored eyes in black African countries.

BTW...if a black person has blue eyes, he has some European in his family tree. PERIOD.

I'm a black man and if you think you are 100% black, I have some oceanfront property to sell you in the Sahara Desert.
Reply:mixed race can... yes
Reply:I dont' think that.. when you mix race you can get a black person with green or blue eyes.

I had a boyfriend his mom was jamaican black and his father american white from florida/ And he came out dark but not too dark with greenish eyes.. he was hott!!
