CHURCH PEOPLE ONLY ANSWER THIS ONE. When exactly did the individual human soul originate? When is it made?

Church people only why? Cause only church people know.

But you know what, the church people I know aren't telling, and that's why I'm coming to Yahoo Answers.

Maybe it's a delicate question and church people don't want to answer in person. Maybe it's an embarrassing question. Maybe it begs other questions that bother church people, or perhaps it causes them irkage.

But here at Yahoo Answers all you church people can answer anonymously. Tell us when your soul was made!

And don't tell me all souls and angels have always existed, cause that puts them on equal footing with God, and I already know church people can't allow that.

Come on, church people, now's the chance, divulge the nitty-gritty.

Here is the question: When does the human soul originiate? At birth? At conception? At the beginning of the world? At some other time? Specify.

If all souls were made at the same time, tell us a little about that.

CHURCH PEOPLE ONLY ANSWER THIS ONE. When exactly did the individual human soul originate? When is it made?
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you." (Jeremiah 1:5) This passage tells us that God knew us before we were conceived. Other than that, we have no real knowledge of the exact time a soul is formed, we just know that we all have one. And you are right about souls not always having existed, they are God's creation.
Reply:When was YOUR soul made, when was Mr. Snoid's soul made? Report It

Reply:they were made all at the same time on the sixth day before god took a Siesta, but they were placed into a cryo-freezer to be put on hold until conception, at which point they were taken outa cryo and stuffed into the mother's egg. (ed. note, the soul is transported from cryo by an guy riding a big white bird, hence the confusion of storks, and likewise angels, there are no angles just guys on storks stuffing souls in eggs.)

amen.
Reply:Christians have a totally whacky idea of what the 'soul' is supposed to be. For the Jews of that time... including Jesus... the 'soul' was an enveloping emanation from the godhead that resulted from the community's relationship with god. The soul as a component of a human being (Christian view) is an artifact of Greek thinking on 'dualism'... which was incorporated into Christian dogma and lore by Gentile theologians, who were ignorant of Jewish (and Jesus') concept of 'soul'.

So... apart from the fact that all of this stuff is mythological nonsense, anyway... everyone's worries about what happens to their personal 'soul' are of no consequence... it does not exist.
Reply:We are born with a soul.............Let me ask you something are you saved .....has anyone ever talk to about salvation? You sound like you are very confuessed about this. You need to talk to a Pastor or a Christian about this. I am sure there is alot of Christians who love to tell you about this and talk to you about salvation. You do need a good King James Bible to read and study. Not the new King James........but the old original King James Verison . What you ask all happen in the beginning when God created the heaven and the earth........Read the book of Genesis in the original King James version.
Reply:We were created (made) after the angels were created.

We lived on a perfect earth Gen 1:1

At the Fall of Satan, God decided to make man Flesh.

That we would be tested, and face a flesh death.
Reply:Agree With William.

However This Soul Gets Heavy Laden With Sins And Has To Be Discarded Before The Holy Spirit Can Enter Thru The Mighty Grace Of Our Lord Jesus Christ
Reply:in the bible, God is quoted as saying "I knew you in the womb". this is what is used to infer that the soul is there at the time of conception, but the truth is, only God knows when the soul is created.

i do not think that the soul has been around forever. the angels have been around for longer, but there is no mention that they have been there forever either. in fact, i have heard quotes (i have no proof of this) that human souls will be considered "higher" than angels, as we have suffered upon this earth.

it is my opinion (after having years of research) that the soul is the actual meaning of "in the image of God", because i dont think God looks like a middle aged balding man, as i do.

Reply:Your question as phrased can not be answered. God supposedly created all of the souls. God exists outside of time. Time is only a function of a soul or spirit Having a human experience. This human experience is a secondary reality for spirit.

Time does not exist at all in the souls primary reality as spirit, so all souls or spirits are essentially eternal. Eternal means without beginning or end. So they in effect have always existed.

I assume that you were trying to ask when does the soul start to realize that it is having the human experience. This is a valid question and it is up to the goals of the one making the judgment. Those who oppose abortion say at the moment of conception because this fits in with the goal that they have set.

I doubt If it is really that cut and dried. I feel that the soul is not as glued to the body as we may think. We seem to leave it in times of great stress, and may even leave it when we sleep. No one knows and any one who tells you that they do are at best confused.

Reply:When GOD breathed into Man on the six day of creation
Reply:at conception
Reply:None of us could possibly know the actual answer to this question. We're not God.

Personally, my opinion, not based on scripture or teaching from anyone, is that the soul begins when life begins. To me, life begins when you're conceived.

I'm surprised someone would lump people of faith into a group called "church people." No two churches are the same. Stereotyping is rarely seen as a positive.
Reply:Church people don't know, only God does if you believe in God.
Reply:This is the grand daddy of all questions.I myself am stumped.I know we all have souls but as to the origin or exactly when they are manifest, who knows?
Reply:Your name was written on the palm of God's hand before time began
Reply:When God made Adam. And yes, whether people want to believe it or not, God does exist and He did create man.
Reply:Simple! Gen 2:7 " And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a lining soul." WE DO NOT POSES A SOUL, WE ARE THE SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is why they can not give you a satisfactory answer.
Reply:Faith is about believing without actual proof. Your church people don't exactly know, they can only surmise and with your defensive attitude, they see a fight coming. I have only been back to church for about 6 months now after a 30 year absence. I have never thought about that question before, but now that you have asked it, I think possibly at conception. But, I'm not sure. I can only tell you that I do believe we all have souls, but my belief is based on my faith and not provable fact. I didn't have faith for thirty years so I understand that everyone doesn't believe, but I DON'T understand why they get so riled up and defensive against people of faith, religion and God.
Reply:Like it or not, your soul "originated" when you were formed in the mind of God. Before you were conceived, or even a twinkle in your parents' eyes.

This doesn't make us "on equal footing with God". We were still created BY Him, soul %26amp; all.
Reply:I have no idea, Dude.

I'm a "church person" and I'm not going to pretend to know the answer to that. There is no way to know.

How do you expect anyone to know the answer to a question like that just from going to church? We go to worship God and be among our church family, not to ponder the wonders of the human soul. We do that on our free time, as it sounds like you do. If I knew I'd be a very famous person.
Reply:Well God gave Adam his soul when he breathed life into his nostrils. So I would say you gain your sould when you take your first breath.

Genesis 2:7 (King James Version)

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Reply:The human soul begin at the point of creation when breathe life into Adam and Eve.
Reply:Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

God is Omni Temporal, before time, existing eternity past, present, and future without creation, God knew us before the beginning of time.

Some things we will never fully understand due to the fact that we only have finite minds - the true Glory of the Lord; the specific timing of events or people’s identities involved in the consummation of His redemptive plan for mankind; and yes, the issue of God's sovereignty versus man's free will.
