Everywhere i look people are pointing fingers, looking for someone to blame. too often it's "America" as if "America" is some corporeal entity shoving the rest of the world around. fat, stupid, lazy, is how we are described, BY OUR OWN CITIZENS no less. why are we and the rest of the world so eager to demonize the American people as a whole, when it is more than reasonable to assume that with the diversity of the American population there exists within it both stupidity and genius, filth and grace, cruelty and kindness, greed and charity. Why do our members of congress brazenly stand before us and say "the American people have spoken"? "American people"? They say "American People" because they asked 1,500 people? 2,000 people? 1,500 people does not "America" make. so, Who are the "American People"? Is "America" the latest poll? Is it That "America"n you met last summer? is it your neighbor? is it you?
"American people"?
