People blaming computer games for their actions...?

all these people claim that the wii version of manhunt 2 will be a murder simulator...then you get these other people who claim games such as this, turn people into serial killers and murderers.





yet, nobody seems to see the other side of it.





personally i have problems with anger, if i'm in a temper, i have to kick or punch "something", even if it's just once, to get the anger out.





games like this give people an outlet i would imagine, to smash somebody up when they're really pissed off, without actually hurting any real people.





also, it gives people a chance to explore the darker side of their nature, in a perfectly legal way.





do you think it bothers people so much because it's like a taboo subject, that we shouldn't get a buzz/kick out of seeing somebody butchered.

you know what the problem is? no one accepts responsiblity for their own actions anymore, they just pass the blame. if you become obese and can't stand up, blame it on burger king cause of your eating habits, same for video games. I hate it, but this won't end, not in the U.S's current state
Reply:but at the same time there was a guy a few years back that two cops and security guard and he blames it on grand theft auto. So there is a side to both sides. So really there are points to prove both.
Reply:Your completely right i feel the same way. Also, what video games did HItler play? Hitler didnt play any there werent violent games such as manhunt back then but geus what! Hitler was a dillusional power freak responsible for genocide and a world war. People are always looking for a scape goat because they are to irresponsible to hold themselves accountable for a murder or a robbery. The same goes for Myspace a place for friends that is constantly attacked by idiotic people who give away personal imformation to complete strangers and dont expect trouble. Though, when they get raped or killed whos fault was it? MYspace! its disgusting
Reply:to say that a video game causes anyone to become a serial killer(or anything else for that matter) is absurd....but then again this is the country that blamed marilyn manson for columbine, so i'm not surprised.
