Why are people racists?

i dont know why people are so mean and racist towards different races, I have seen questions on yahoo saying people are afraid of leaving their homes because of wat people will think of them. Why are people afraid of racism, and why are people racist? Why do people make fun of people oneline in foroums and youtube videos? Should people be afraid of racists, and wat can u tell someone that is afraid of racism? Thanks!

...my soon to be husband is black and i am white, ..and i see all too often the "looks" ...and the remarks, ..and i dont even care anymore, the people that say and do things that are racist, ...will get whats coming to them one day...


..so i dont let it bother me, ...these people are...ignorant as i said......Racist are the ones who have ruined this country, ruining the world.

racism can be hidden, as in jokes, or very nasty and in ur face, and thats why people can be afraid of it.





i am white. i have not encountered any racisms, but i am in a minority in the country where i live, so i have come against some prejudice. when u can ignore it then do so. if it is getting too much, remember that its against the law, and report it.
