Why do people believe they can change the minds of 100,000 people and put an end to terrorism .?

that many people are on the edge and willing to take as many people as they can with them .

We have experienced Oklahoma ,and the loss of dozens of lives from home grown terrorists.

Our military ,embassy's , and foreign workers have been killed ,tortured , kidnapped and held for ransom .

I would like a clear assessment of why we have people attacking other people .

When is enough enough . When will people see that violence is not the answer .

Backing people into a corner only results in a bad outcome for all concerned .

It is policy that kills people .

Those who enforce policy are at risk of dieing to defend what .

What liberty does anyone have when freedom must be given away to the police military and government in order to provide some minor feeling of security .

We are not now or have we ever been able to defend from those who would seek to take that which we have done for ourselves without the loss of life in great numbers by the few who defend the many .

Why do people believe they can change the minds of 100,000 people and put an end to terrorism .?
You give no solution. If fighting back is not the answer, then what is?

Those people who are taking the path of terrorism do so because they feel oppressed. Can their minds be changed? Yes, but not at the point of a gun.

I question at this point who was considered the enemy first. Did America think Arab and Muslims nations were enemies before Muslims thought Americans were enemies?

That question must be answered before any minds can be changed.

In defense of the state of Israel, the U.S. has been performing political arm twisting in the Middle East for generations. It has been going on so long that the original concept is completely lost. It has become an accepted notion that Americans and Muslims are enemies. Both sides have a horde of reasons why the other side hates them and want to kill them.

The conflict between the USA and Islam has been brewing since 1947, nearly 60 years. Only the Hundred Years War in Europe was longer than this conflict.

Perhaps it's time we revisit the beginnings. If in fact America was the first to consider Islam as the enemy, then America must be the first to offer resolution.

BTW. You need to work on your last sentence.
Reply:If we are able to kill 1/3 of them, that is 33,000 that won't be able to harm us...
Reply:You keep focusing on terrorists, while we are being invaded by mexico.
Reply:It's an evil ideology we are fighting.

The war on terrorism is a very harmful misnomer.

We can't allow people to keep on attacking us. We need to make it too costly for them to do so.

We ended the fanatic death cult in Japan, and I bet they're grateful now that we did.
Reply:maybe not change their minds, but turn their minds inside out.
Reply:it's more than 100,000 people
