Do people think people under the age of 12 can't be serious about god?

People always act like I dont know anything about the bible; But I love god. Im planning om writting a wonderful poetry book about him when Im older; but people act like I can't be serious about him. Why can't I show people that I may be young, but Im willing to cut my heart out for me; I'd do anything he asks. People think I can't love god as much as they do because Im younger and they think Im less experianced, but I've suffered through lost of freinds, deppresion, and god has always been there for me. I just want people to know that I care about god, but I need help.

How can I prove that I love him to other people?

Do people think people under the age of 12 can't be serious about god?
Religious indoctrination and blind devotion make no sense.
Reply:I don't the lord said except those that come unto me like children will they enter the kingdom of heaven something like that and there is an age of accountability to think of.
Reply:I think most of believers religious people have a mental age of about 4 or 5 and with age it doesn't get better, look what happened at this mosque in Pakistan I'm sure those dead people have a nice dialog with Allah...

Ah yeah to prove you love him ask him too marry you and if he doesn't answer then maybe he doesn't love you????
Reply:Can they be serious about anything?
Reply:You've been indoctrinated, sweetie. And it's not your fault. You believe because you've been told by so many people you trust that god and religion is truth. But truth isn't absolute. It's based on what people are told, not facts.

Again, not your fault. Maybe when you get older, you'll be able to understand... especially if you attend an institution of higher learning and keep your mind open to facts and science.
Reply:no, I don't think that.

they can also be serious about atheism.
Reply:Just like an adult should. By walking in the fruits of the spirit. By showing your testimony of Christ through your actions. That is all any of us can do.
Reply:You don't have to prove anything, your relationship with God is between the 2 of you, and the 2 of you only.
Reply:No I feel that all people have the same amount of understanding towards God, none! Only people who have faith will appreciate faith.
Reply:In most cases, people under the age of 12 are NOT totally serious about God, simply because of their lack of experience and education. In many cases, those under the age of 12 believe everything their parents tell them; their understanding of God is not from what they have received by revelation or studying of the Scriptures or Church history.

The most important thing for a Christian to do is love. As far as that goes, I would say Christians under the age of 12 have the ability to properly fulfill that law. However, being a Christian involves understanding and establishing doctrine, things that are difficult for people who have not finished high school.

All in all, it depends on the person. But I know one thing. I was raised a Christian my whole life and never really understood what being a Christian was until I was around the age of 17. Being a Christian is also being an individual, something that takes time.

In retrospect, however, people under the age of 12 can have one single thing that people over the age of 12 oftentimes have lost: faith. The faith of a child is the strongest of faith, but that does not mean every single child has that intensity of faith. Additionally, faith is important, but understanding is also important—something that is gained with age.
Reply:People can be blindly devoted at any age, but in most cases (not all) people need to be a bit older to fully comprehend what it is they believe for themselves rather than what they believe because they were told to believe.
Reply:You seem to be a little extreme in your beliefs, however, I would have to disagree with the people who claim you can't be serious in your beliefs. Younger people by nature are more open to faith than people who have been jaded by age, science, etc.. As long as you know what your beliefs are and what you're willing to sacrifice for them what does it really matter what other people think? Religion and faith are not contests where you have to prove yourself to others. They are for you and you alone.
Reply:Kids much younger are serious about God and know exactly what they are doing. Twelve is not a young age to understand and accept Christ.

You do not have to do anything. You do not have to prove it to anyone. You answer to God alone on this matter.
Reply:Duh. That's exactly how Christians indoctrinate them. They're gullible. You can make them believe anything. And once they grow up, they'll keep believing in the Bible because if they question it for one second, they're on the highway to hell! Those clever Christians.
Reply:That is BULL age has nothing to do with it..You don't have to prove anything your life in Christ will do the showing for you..If you become cocky then nobody will listen or pay attention to you..Just build your relationship and read and study and let God do the teaching and building...
Reply:It is fine for you to be enthusiastic for what you are being taught, but your true lessons do not really materialize until you begin to challenge authority.
Reply:I don't think that, actually people under the age of twelve are closer to God then most adults. They are innocent and have no reason to doubt, and therefore open up their hearts to God without every doubting it. So little girl , just hold your head high and keep walking with the Lord and don't worry about what the others think. You will be fine.
Reply:12 is considered the age of reason; the age where your brain and logic are developed enough that you can choose whether to believe in Jesus or not. Some children are able to do this younger than age 12, some aren't mentally able until a few years after 12. God knows your true heart.

You don't need to prove your love for God to other people. You only need to love God. I'll pray for you.

Don't worry about what people think, they don't think too often.

Here's a Bible verse to help you out:

Mark 10:14 "But when Jesus saw [the disciples turning away the children], he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God."
Reply:Never listen to anyone but yourself .. if you Love God and know deep in your heart that you do.. No one can convince you other wise.. if you Bond and connection to Jesus christ is Strong and there is Devoiton and Submission .. then you will never have an issue..
