Fat people should/is placed in their own group?

Do you think that over weight-fat people should be placed in their own "group" since 99% of over weight people are discriminated against and put through hate crimes and get rude remarks/ treated as 'Not Normal, Not Human, A waste of space."

Do you agree that fat people are discriminated against and are victums of hate more then gays, lesbiens, bi's, trangendereds, blacks, whites, reliogous and the handycap?

How many times in your life have you heard people making fun of a fat person? How many times have you made rude comments or put downs towards fat people?

Do you think you are BETTER then fat people? Do you think LESS of fat people? When will fat people have to no longer take the abuse they go through everyday? Would you HELP them fight for their rights as a human and to be treated equally?

Fat people should/is placed in their own group?
No, I don;t think overweight people should be placed in their own group. I hate to say it but, if anyone has the perception of an overweight person and makes the remarks as you have described, then they should be placed in their own group and labelled as "Inhumane, Discriminate MORONS. anyone who treats people badly based on race or anything else for that matter should be banned from public!

I myself do not consider myself fat or thin, but I am sure there are probably some out there that would lean towards fat remarks pertaining to my size. But you know what, I don't give a flying ---- about it. I am comfortable with who I am in every aspect. I am a strong, independent, intelligent woman and anyone who thinks differently or tries to tell me differently will get a quarter thrown to them so that they can call someone who cares about their opinion.

Obviously from your questions you have been victimised. I will give you the same advice my grandmother always told me.

Always stand up straight and walk tall because you have every reason to. You are a beautiful and intelligent person and no one can break you. They may bend you but they will never break you. Be who you are and love who you are. Nothing else matters.

Good Luck to you and I hope you take my advice.

Be Strong and Know that you are beautiful no matter what size you are!
Reply:I am one of the few, the proud, the fat..I would and have stood up for myself. If you really think you need to make a comment to a Large person, just think of all you imperfections and Shut your mouth. If only people would keep their opinions to themselves, life would be Grand. And you know what they say about opinions, right?good comment if you are serious.I love Chicken!!
Reply:no i dont think fat people should be put in thier own groups that would be mean. i think fat people are discriminated against probably on a daily basis. people are always making fun of others. i have never made a rude comment about somebody overweight that would be really mean. no i dont think im better than fat people everybody is the same fat, skinny, ugly, pretty, gay , lesbo, handycapped whatever it is we are all the same. it is really sad when someone gets put down cuz of how they look but in the society that we live in today it is all based on looks and it would be really hard to change that.
Reply:I think our society is quick to label people. If a person isnt "slim" they have to fit into a category. Is it fair, not at all? From your question it does sound as if you have been made to feel like less of a person, and I apologize, because no one should ever be made to feel badly about themselves by another person.

Personally I dont think less of people who weigh more (i hate the word FAT) No one asked to be born out side of society's idea of "normal." I do not know if they are victimized more so than any other group mentioned, but my guess would be yes. In school age kids, you can tell who's overweight by looking at them. You can not however tell who is bi-sexual or gay. Not all kids are taught that to be accepting of people goes deeper than accepting their skin color or religious beliefs.
