Do people look more youthful today?

When I was a child, I remember I used to see people in their late teens as adults, and people over 30 (or 35) as being too old.

But by the time I reached 25, it appeared to me that in this time and age, if not all, at least many people look young.

I knew girls of my age who had got married, and when I saw them I was surprised to see, that judging from their appearances, they didn't look like married ladies, but.. like teenage single girls...

I'm in my thirties now, and I still have the same impression.

(It's obvious that there are people whom I can see they passed their youth a long time ago...)

Is this a natural change of perception as people grow older, or do people today look better than people from previous generations?

Could this also be a reflex that "the then 20's are the 40's" today?

And do you sense the same?

Do people look more youthful today?
I agree. Today, most people are aware of their health. There have been so many medical advances as well. Illnesses that we common long ago have been eradicated ( wiped out ). However, the ongoing obesity problem in this country is alarming. So, now we see more Diabetes, heart attacks among women has increased drastically. On the more positive side ( sorry but, I got side-tracked ), the roles of the male and female have changed. And, thank goodness, the style of clothes, physical fitness awareness, the dangers of sun-exposure, etc.
Reply:Yes old chap
Reply:First you are older and have higher comprehension. The second is that years ago they had a lot of stress and usually drank, smoke, and used lead based products, which ages you quickly.
Reply:Little kids always think that anyone over the age of 9 is old. Higher the number, older they seem.
