Do people still actually laugh and make fun of fat people?

I was reading a question here the other day, obviously from a troll, who said they laughed at fat people (their question was something like "Why do people think I'm insensitive", and then they named all the insensitive things they did, e.g., laughed at fat people, people with mental issues, were racist against black people, etc.), and it just got me wondering: do people actually laugh at fat people anymore? Is it just in high school or something (to which I have never been; I'm home-schooled)? I've just never seen it in real life, and, in fact, only occasionally in fiction. It seems that in this politically correct world, you just wouldn't (quite rightly) get that kind of thing anymore.

Do people still actually laugh and make fun of fat people?
Yes, some people do that...I don't think it is because of their weight, I think it's because many of them have less self-confidence than others, people sense that and some of them start making silly comments....and that's really bad.
Reply:yea it happens.
Reply:yes, people do.

people laugh at anyone who is different than them.

it still happens.
