Why do straight people come here?????

Why do straight people come to this forum? I find, most of the time, that they harass the people who are asking questions. Don't they have anything better to do with their time? There are several other forums that they could visit. It makes sense to me not to go to a forum that you have noting in common with. Why can't people understand that ALL people are not alike?





I do not dislike straight people; I have many straight friends, and I don't know any gay people that dislike straight people other than the harassing ones.





People need to understand that there are bad people in all orientations and races and there are good people. We all have to share this world, so lets all try to get along with each other.

Why do straight people come here?????
I come here because it is interesting and I am curious as to what others think and how they feel. I accept homosexuality and want to better understand it. I also know a few homosexuals.

i dislike ignorance people and haters and it isnot always straight, there are gay people who are haters 2...

Sometimes we all get caught up in the heat of the moment (Otter included) and then we need to take a few steps backwards and reassess why and what we're all doing.


No, what the Bashers and Trolls are doing is NOT fair and they seem to get away with it more often than not. It's like going up to some one and slapping their face. They can get away with it because Y!A allows them to mostly be anonymous and we still have (thankfully) freedom of speech.


Now let's settle down and have a cup of tea, shall we? It's always better to see things after a nice cup of tea and there will be cake.

Reply:Darned if I know. I look at "all answers" and pick a questions that looks interesting and sometimes I stay in that category.





LBGT has some interesting questions. I can't help with "should I come out" but some is relation stuff and boy-boy or boy-girl, it's not that different. We're all people.





Sometimes, I answer some fashion or makeup questions, or give a girl's perspective, which I think the crossdressers appreciate. I know the crossdressers I know like to get a woman's POV.





I'm never here to harrass anyone, except maybe the idiot vampire who shows up with a different id every time the sun goes down.





If people think I don't belong, tell me and I'll go. I'm not here to spy on you and figure out what that gay agenda is everyone's talking about. :) I'm not here to convert you, and when I don't know something I SHUT UP and go elsewhere.

Reply:We come here because the questions are posted on the main page, we see them, and, answer them. For the same reason people who hate tattoos go to the tattoo section to answer questions..usually to tell us that they suck and we shouldn't get them. But not all of us straight people come here to insult anyone. I have no problems with gay people. If I see a question posted in the main section, thats listed in the gay section, and I think I can answer it, then I will. if not, I wont..but I dont come here just to put people down. That's not how I roll.





People assume that because I'm a christian, I automatically hate gay people. Alot of people come to the gay section, claiming to be christians, and they insult the gay/lesbian users on here. I dont believe those people are christians, I think theyre posers. The only type of people I have a problem with, are the ones who have a problem with me (for no good reason)

Reply:I don't think all straight people harass the people who are asking question on this section, maybe just some kids who have no one to talk to except their monitor, I don't like their behavior, therefore I reported them.


Most of the time when I sign in this section because I think I can give out some advice, or learn something in a similar situation.


Straight friends on this board, please keep coming to this section, I want to know your point of view.
Reply:I completely agree with you. I also think that most straight people that come here just to be complete jerks feel very stupid after hearing just how outdated and ignorant their opinions truly are--because everyone that's got a mind is going to stand up against someone's negativity and uninformed opinions. However it can be frustrating to see religious zealots and homophobes sitting on their high horse as if they're lives are more perfect. Homosexuality and bisexuality are obvious things that people can consider "bad" but I would bet most of these people that condemn homosexuals and bisexuals are just too scared to look at everything that's screwed up in their lives. On the bright side (which there always is a bright side) it will make you feel better about yourself to know that you don't have that superiority complex that some of those people have and you're definately not so ridiculously ignorant as they are.
