Why are people so surprised at the evil in our world (school shootings, etc) when it's b/c people suck?

People suck. People are naturally selfish, can be conniving, and are very generally fast-paced. I personally myself have gone through a lifetime of bullying, abuse, people not caring, stepping on me, giving me a hard time, personal losses, and so much and have gone crazy so many times that I learned how to see through the eyes of the school shooters or other criminals. People who get all surprised, and wowed are people who have never been pushed to that end, and good for them. But thats why everyone freaks out.

Our society is going to hell in a handbasket, and people on top who never had to worry are going to go all,

"oh my gooddddd. How could this beeeee??"

When the answer is so blatantly obvious.

You say, find God, and find personal hope/peace, when you really can't b/c Churches can be total bs, and our society's pace and needs for money make it hard.

Life itself is crazy, the things you need to learn/know, and having any "true" friends is hard.

People wake up!

Why are people so surprised at the evil in our world (school shootings, etc) when it's b/c people suck?
I have to agree with you on the majority of your comments/question. I must say that we can't use it as an excuse to open fire on a classroom full of innocent ppl. The time has come that the innocent pay the price. In defense to the shooter... he needed some serious help. There are millions of Americans who walk this earth and carry some kind of evil in their hearts and don't get it dealt with. Is it pride that keeps them from asking for help? I know if I ever felt like shooting 20 plus ppl... I would tell someone and instiutionalize myself until I'm better. Although it is our nature as human beings to be evil and animalistic, we can learn to evolve into better beings by CHOICE. The truth is that I come from a background where I was raised to think that being angry and violent was okay. Now I still struggle with not being able to pop someone in the face when I get upset but I deal with it. The root of it is ... what is the condition of the soul and the state of mind of the person? There are millions of Americans walking this earth with mental illness and never get diagnosed and treated. We must advocate this!!!
Reply:two words GUN CONTROL.

the rest of the world laughs at the total lack of gun control in USA.

Im from Australia and believe me we have just as many nut cases per capita as you do but we dont have massacres at all since gun control was introduced. If guns arent an option peopl channel thier anger differently.

I hear what you are saying, i dont get how some people can treat others and still sleep at night but it is a big world and its not all bad. You and i are just two people.

how about you and i set an example for others and try to be good to our fellow humans and anyone else who wants to join us, can.
Reply:Your experience of life is not mine. I haven't had an easy life but I am not a victim. I think you can only speak for yourself. Your perception is not definitive.
Reply:I too was bullied and do agree to a certain extent that people suck, however, not everyone seeks revenge on others when life doesn't work out so well.
