Why do people like to copy what other people wear? Like i knwo some people think its cool. But Why cant people jsut be themselves and act liek themselves.Why do people care so much waht other people think? Wouldnt people WANT to be thierselves and act like thierselves..instead of wanting ot be something they arent' Why do people have to follow trends and styles just for people to think they are cool or rich or to make themselves seem popular? Alot of people want to have thier own styles too.. but i think thats a trend too for people wanting too ALL want TO BE RAndom AND HAVE THIER OWN FASHION.. so idk? jsut wondering?
Fake PEople?
People try to imitate others not always because they are pressured to do it or to fit in. Some people actually develop a sense of liking towards someone else's fashion sense. Some people however, get really desperate and think that the only way to fit in to society is to dress up like everyone else. It's kinda hard to stand on your own personal style when the people around you are so different.

like how brands get celebs to endorse their products, people will think, she's a great actress, i wanna be like her, i'll buy that product!

It goes away more after high school.. but you still have the zombies... who eventually just fall apart cause they have no idea who they are anymore.. and they try to drag others down with them.
It's not necessarily about wanting to fit in.. but being afraid of not fitting in. Being the outcast, being alone. When the truth is - and may I add people fear the truth more than anything - every living thing dies alone.
Reply:beacuse copying people IS being themselves, thats what they do, there into fashion and like wut they wear, thats y they wear it, they wouldnt wear it if they didnt like it, so it isnt fake they just see something they like, and people care wut other ppl think just so they can feel better about themselves if people think there cool or like wut they have, and not to be embarrased if they dont (stupid but w/e some ppl do) AND sry but this really annoys me wen ppl call other ppl fake and posers, when usually they dont know the other person well enought to judge them, and if u (in general) think there fake, there not, they just like to go with the trends, it just means there into fashion, not fake, and u said u had a problem with ppl being "fake" but then r u askin bout ppl dressing all random and how they feel, u cant catagorise every person who dresses wierd under a "random" catagory, becuase each person who dresses random isnt doin it to be cool, there doin it to express themselves, because the each person who dresses reanomly does it different, so every person gets there own group

It's called lack of personality, lack of self-confidence and lack of self-esteem. Unfortunately a lot of people don't think they are good enough (when they actually are) so they tend to copy others because they think they have more to bring to the table (not so).

A lot of teenagers want to dress like everyone else so they fit in.
There is nothing wrong with enjoying fashion.
